MertonVision have arranged quite a few  Social and Event Trips in 2016, so have a look and see where you fancy going.  Tickets must be purchased in advance, and if you need a Volunteer to assist you on the trip please tell us this when you book.  If you do not request a Volunteer at the time of booking it may result in us not having anyone to help you adequately on the day.  Also let us know if you are bringing your guide dog, wheelchair or walking frame etc.  Pick up is from MertonVision, The Guardian Centre, and you will be taken home afterwards.

Please note: All tickets for the trips will be non-refundable, however if you cancel for any reason we will try to sell your ticket for you.

Social and Event Trips in 2016

Kew Gardens

Wednesday 13 April
Transport £8
Leaving the Guardian Centre at 10:30.
Take a leisurely stroll around the grounds and admire the beautiful specimens of plants and trees. While you are there you can enjoy lunch in the café or a picnic in the grounds. Should you require to use the land train, there is a charge.

Lunch at The Depot

Barnes, Thursday 21 April,  11:00.
Transport £8.00, Meal payable on the day.
The chef will be preparing a special menu for our party. A three course meal will cost between £20.00 and £25.00, drinks not included.

We have reserved places for 20; seating area overlooks the River Thames.

Thrive Project

Battersea Park, Friday 6 May, 10:30.
Transport £8.00
We will be visiting this gardening project for a talk and guided tour.

After this you will be able to enjoy a picnic or have lunch in one of the cafes. For those who feel more energetic, they will have a chance to take a stroll around the Park.

The Imperial War Museum

A trip for those who are interested in the history of the World Wars.

Windsor – Thames River Cruise with lunch

Ploughman’s lunch, slice of cake and tea or coffee, £20.50 per person, including boat fare.

Please note: There must be 20 tickets sold to entitle us to the above prices.

We need to book this trip by Thursday 31st March, all tickets must be purchased by this date. Unfortunately, the boats are not accessible for wheelchairs at the moment, apparently next year this will be rectified as they are purchasing a wheelchair friendly boat.

Eastbourne
