Disability Rights UK is looking for Mystery Shoppers

Disability Rights UK is looking for Mystery Shoppers!

Disability Rights UK is working with a major retailer in order to support them to better cater to their disabled customers. As part of this, we are looking for disabled people with a range of impairments to mystery shop their stores! We are looking for people with any of the following impairments:

  •  Visual impairment and use a guide dog
  •  visual impairment but don’t use a guide dog
  • Hearing impairment
  • Wheelchair user
  •  Mobility impairment but not a wheelchair user
  • Neurodiverse condition

We are offering participants £40 vouchers for participating. The store you mystery shop can be local to you. The mystery shop needs to be completed by January 3rd.

The 14th November has proved to be very popular with bookings. It has been so popular that we are looking to put on two performances of our audio described show and our immersive story telling.

Times and details are as follows:

10:30 and 13:00 – Audio Described ‘Little Lab of Horrors’ theatre show and touch tour
Join us for this frighteningly fun science show where we will investigate some luminous liquids, help bust some ghosts, and have a hair-raising experience! Live Audio Description of this show will be available along with a touch tour of the props prior to the show.
(Recommended for families with children aged 7 +. Approx. 1 hour)

10:30 and 13:00 – ‘Take Flight’ immersive storytelling
Come on a high flying adventure through the clouds in this interactive storytelling session. Explore hot air balloons, glorious gliders and animals that soar in the sky. Please fasten your seat belt and prepare for take-off!
(Recommended for families with children aged 7 +. Approx. 1 hour)

14:00– Object handling of Information Age gallery artefacts
Hold history in your hands with objects from the Science Museum’s collection. Find out what they are made from and how they transformed the way we communicate and share information.
(Recommended for families with children aged 7 +.  Drop in over an hour and a half)

14:30 – Flight Gallery Tour
From mankind’s earliest dreams of flight, to the Wright brothers and early adventurers, to the jumbo jets and the wide-body aeroplanes of today. Discover the history of flight in this descriptive tour of our Flight Gallery.
(Tour lasts approx. 30mins)
