VI Student Network: Stand up and speak out workshop!

Happy New Year! For our first event of 2019, we are running a workshop dedicated to building skills and confidence for speaking out at university, and elsewhere. We will be providing tips and advice on the best ways to engage with your lecturers, tutors or employers, and how to challenge situations or issues you may experience in those settings.

We will be collaborating with Extant to run this workshop covering areas such as body language, tone of voice and language. These skills will help you present yourself well and be effective when speaking out.

During the workshop we will be joined by Extant freelance artists Steven George and Amy Evans, who will also provide practical insights into their experiences and careers. They will then take part in a networking session held after the workshop, so you will get the chance to find out more about Extant and performing arts.

 When: Thursday 21st February 2019, Time:  6pm – 8.30pm

Where: Pocklington Hub, Tavistock House South (entrance D), Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9LG
