Transport for All (TfA) is looking for a driven and motivated manager with the vision to grow our Information, Advice and Advocacy (IAA) servicesat an important juncture in their history – ensuring that these vital services continue to provide much-needed support to London’s disabled and older transport users.
Using your experience of delivering an advice and advocacy service, you will manage the running of London’s only IAA services that are solely dedicated to accessible transport. Building on previous successes, you will have the vision and drive to implement new systems and ways of working that inspire colleagues and lead TfA to achieve sector recognised advice standards and quality marks.
With excellent verbal and written communications skills that are appropriate to a diverse audience, you must have highly developed inter-personal, negotiating and listening skills. Experience of working with disabled and older people is desirable, but ultimately you must be someone with the drive and initiative to make things happen and turn plans into reality.
Transport for All (TfA) has been championing the cause of accessible transport in the capital for over two decades. Whilst progress has been made, still today disabled and older people have to restrict their lives or even become housebound because they are failed by inaccessible transport services. Our mission is to change this and win a transport system that all of London’s citizens can use with freedom and Independence.
