London Pulse wins the elite sport in the community award!

On Monday evening Metro Blind Sport were invited by London Pulse Netball to attend the London Sport Awards 2021 at the Guildhall.

The London Sport Awards returned for its sixth edition to, once again, recognise and celebrate the efforts of volunteers, physical activity projects and sports organisations who have helped so many people in the capital, not just with their physical health but their mental and social wellbeing too.

London Pulse Netball was shortlisted for The Elite Sport in the Community Award, which recognises those that use their prominent position within a local community to improve lives whether that’s physical and mental wellbeing or wide social benefits.

They were shortlisted for their community work, including the delivery alongside Metro Blind Sport of the first VI netball programme.

I am delighted to report that London Netball Pulse won the award and I was fortunate to accompany London Pulse CEO, Sam Bird, to collect the trophy.

We will be continuing the sessions in the New Year (February) at the Copperbox Arena and participants will not only benefit from playing but will receive free access to London Pulse Netball home games.

A great partnership and watch this space for news of 2022 activity!
