Can Do Inclusive Sailing in Southwark
Can Do Sailing is an inclusive sailing project being run by Leonard Cheshire Disability in partnership with Tideway Sailability club in Southwark.
Tideway has many years of experience in providing support to children and adults with disabilities so they can enjoy an out-of-doors activity in a safe and inclusive environment.
For this project, we take individual or group applications and we are hoping to have at least 7 people to start the project.
Each participant will have an opportunity to do team building activities, develop leadership skills and earn a sailing certificate. There is no fee attached to take part.
We’re looking for young people who:
- Have a disability or long-term health condition
- Are aged 18-35 of any background or experience.
- Live in London
- Are willing to commit to the entire duration of the project
- Have never taken part in a Can Do project before
Dates: One session a week over 8 weeks, from the first week of August to the end of September. The day has to be confirmed.
Time: TBC – 2 hours per session
Location: Tideway Sailability (Greenland docks Rope St, London SE16 7SX)
