GO TRI VI Triathlon Training weekend (for VI athletes and potential guides)

Course Information

This is a trial programme we are running in London to help visually impaired (VI) triathletes who require guide to participate in triathlon.   If successful we may seek to run the programme in future years.  The programme is aimed at VI participants with ambitions to train and possibly compete in events at any level of ability and experience.  Whatever goal you feel would be a satisfying achievement is perfectly valid they are personal to your circumstances and not in competition with other triathletes on the programme.  The only requirement for potential triathletes is that you are able to commit the time required to undertake the training needed to meet the goals you set yourself and your guide.

If you would like to discuss how you could benefit from participating in the programme feel free to contact the para-coordinator.

We will run a GO TRI VI training weekend for you and your guides to get experience tandem riding, guided running and guided swimming this will take place on the weekend of November 17th and 18th 2018 at the Lee Valley VeloPark and London Aquatics Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

As this is the first time we are running this programme it is very much a trial, we would hope to accommodate all applications but we can’t guarantee this. Our aim will be to match you with at least one guide.  While we will endeavour to help you with issues such as accessing tandems, swimming lessons etc. please remember the focus of this programme is to match you with guides anything else is technically out of scope.
