London VI Blind Football Festival:  1 Dec 2022

The day will be led by Azeem, who is an athlete role model, to showcase the opportunities that being involved in football and sport in general for visually impaired young people and how this can positively affect their futures.

Bloomsbury Football Foundation and Learn with ESS (founded by Azeem Amir, England International Blind Footballer) alongside British Blind Sport, will be hosting a VI/Blind Football Festival on Thursday1 December 2022 at Market Road Football Pitches, Market Road, N7 9PL, from 11 am-2 pm.

It promises to be a fun-filled day of football exercises aimed at getting more visually impaired young people involved in football.

The festival is supported by British Blind Sport and Bloomsbury Football Coaches.

Lookfest is an accessible summer festival for visually impaired young people and their families. Created by VI people, for VI people!

LOOKFest, our accessible family festival is back for 2020! We can’t wait for you to join us in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside for a fun-filled weekend of activities and live entertainment.

From sports to slip and slides, music to motivational talks, there’s something for everyone in the family to try.

About this Event

LookFest will take place on July 17th – 20th, in the great outdoors and under canvass in rural Herefordshire.

This festival is run by Look UK, a charity that aims to empower young visually impaired (VI) people to thrive.

We want all visually impaired young people to have the same opportunities as everyone else to get down and dirty with nature, roam free and have fun in the outdoors.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

LOOKFest is a family festival open to families with a VI parent or child. All under-18-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.

Alcohol will be served from the on-site bar which may require ID for purchase.

Transport:

What is my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

• A shuttle bus service will operate from nearby train stations for a nominal cash fee. There is limited capacity for seats on the shuttles. Please indicate when booking if you require seats on the shuttle busses. Details of timings will be included in your welcome pack.

• Public buses run from Cardiff, Abergavenny and Hereford to the nearest bus stop at Pontrilas. Lifts to and from the bus stop can be arranged on request.

• Driving directions will be included in your welcome pack. Onsite parking is free and convenient and there is a well-maintained track running the length of the site.

Yes. We have two glamping options available to book –

4 m bell-tent (sleeps 4) for £55

5 m bell-tent (sleeps 6) for £65

7th Annual Go Islington Festival!

Free sporting fun for everyone! 

Try more than 20 different sports and activities at the 7th annual Go Islington festival. There are marquees for young people and families, an inflatable for bouncing on, health and information stalls, and a prize draw for young people who try five or more sports. All ages are welcome, and the event is free.

For  the under 11s, you’ll find Waterslide
Adventure Playground activities, Highbury Bandstand One O’Clock Club and sing-a-long with Singing Hariett

For teens and young adults, the Launchpad stage features Afrobeats, Platform Voices, Gain Ctrl artists, plus circus skills with Roundhouse.

All ages can try basketball, boxing, football, tennis, rugby, mixed martial art s and much more.

Plus don’t miss the Arsenal pop-up goal.
