RNIB has launched a new leadership course that will enable blind and
partially sighted people to become more involved in their local community.
The Civic Leadership Programme (CLP) is a six-month course running from
September 2015 – March 2016. The purpose of the course is to equip blind and
partially sighted people with the skills and knowledge to embark on civic
leadership roles. Common examples of roles include school governors, local
councillors and positions held on advisory panels, boards, health watches
and chambers of commerce.
Places on the programme are limited, and to apply you must be:
* Blind or partially sighted
* Able to attend all of the course module dates
* Currently in a civic leadership role or looking to enter into a
civic leadership role in the future
