An evening private view of Impressionists In London at Tate Britain!
An opportunity to visit this exhibition on the evening of Sunday 18th March 2018 between 18.00 – 20.00 with an Audio Description tour at 19.00.
This is a private view which will take place after Tate Britain has closed to the public.
At 18.00 we will clear the Gallery of visitors as usual, but anybody who has arrived early for the Private View will be invited to gather in the Manton Foyer. You will not be asked to leave and re-enter, you can stay in the gallery for the Private View.
Once the gallery is clear of the general public we will be able to reopen the Impressionists exhibition. You will then have the opportunity to go round the exhibition under comparatively quiet conditions, as we have only invited visually impaired people, local residents and some local community groups to this event.
The Audio Description tour will start at 19.00 and the event will finish at 20.00.
If arriving at Tate Britain by car or taxi please arrive at, and ask to be collected from, the Atterbury Street entrance. The postcode is SW1P 4RQ
Marcus the Curator of Public Programmes will be in the foyer to meet and welcome everybody who arrives for the tour.
Gallery chairs and audio equipment will be provided. Although this event is for vision impaired visitors, you can bring a sighted companion with our pleasure.
No tickets are required, this event is free of charge.
