On Friday, 26 August 2022, at our Waterloo train station collection, our amazing volunteers collected a fantastic £629.58!
A massive thank you to all!
Examples of what these raised funds could help pay for;
- Hire a Green to play Bowls.
- An umpire for a game of VI Cricket.
- A specialist Coach for a 2-hour sports session.
- New kit for a few of our VI Football team players.
- Specialist Tennis Equipment for our Tennis sessions.
- Help subsidise some archery or 1 to 1 swimming sessions.
Our next train Station collection is on Fri 30 Sept, at Victoria train Station
Metro has another opportunity to hold a collection day, this time at Victoria train station on the 30 September 2022, from 7:30 am until 7:30 pm. Can you help us to raise money to continue to provide support for sporting and social activities across London?
We are looking for people to come along and help us. Assistance dogs are welcome; if you would like to bring a friend for support, that would be great!.
We will have a rota so you choose what hours you would like to do.
Before starting, people need to bring a photo ID and sit through a ten-minute safety brief.
If you are interested in being part of the day, helping us to raise awareness of the charity and to raise some funds, we would love to hear from you
You will be supplied with collection boxes and tee shirts which you will be able to keep as a thank you after the day.
