Herne Hill Velodrome  9 Sept

MSSC is also organising a trip for tandem riders to Herne Hill Velodrome on Saturday, 9th September.  We have booked a two-hour session between 3.00 and 5.00pm.   The Velodrome is at 104 Burbage Road SE24 9HE, about ten minutes’ walk from Herne Hill Railway Station.

Date: 9 September  2017   Time: 3.00 and 5.00pm

Venue: Herne Hill Velodrome, 104 Burbage Road SE24 9HE

Contact:  tel.james@tiscali.co.uk or call Richard on 07500 913 223.

Herne Hill Velodrome is an outdoor cycle track and 1948 Olympic cycling venue.  The track is 450 m long, with the steepest part of the banking at 30 degrees.  A brand new track surface was introduced in 2011, which is made of asphalt and very grippy, and is therefore safe to be ridden in both wet and dry weather conditions.

We are trying to gauge interest at this stage, so we can gain some idea of numbers and logistics.  Depending on numbers, we may decide to take a minibus from the Guardian Centre to Herne Hill.

If you are interested in attending the session, either as a front or back rider, please email tel.james@tiscali.co.uk and confirm whether you would like to travel by minibus, if available, or whether you would prefer to make your own way.

For more details about either of the above, please phone Richard on 07500 913 223.
