Filming and Editing Workshops
ELVis (East London Vision )is working with film production company Salmagundi Films to offer two filmmaking workshops. The first workshop will teach you about the production process. You will explore the genre of classic film noir, learn how to use camera angles, lighting and shot sizes for dramatic effect and storyboard your idea.
Working as a team you will act, direct and shoot a short film trailer.
At the second workshop the following week, you will learn how to edit the footage shot the previous week using iMovie software. You will add music and sound effects and titles to produce a polished film noir trailer.
All participants will have the opportunity to take home a DVD copy of their film once the workshops have been completed.
The first workshop will be held on Monday 18th June, 10:00-13:00, and the second will be on Monday 25th June, 10:00-13:00.
Both workshops are free and will be held at the ELVis offices, which are located at Waltham Forest Resource Hub (South), 90 Crownfield Road, E15 2BG. Our nearest Underground station is Leyton (Central Line), and detailed directions can be found on our website: www.eastlondonvision.org.uk/contact.
There are 10 spaces available on each workshop.
