Ride Side-by-Side with Bikeworks and Metro Blind Sport
Ride Side-by-Side made possible by the London Mayor’s Sport Unites fund is about getting blind and partially sighted people around the West London area by pedalling (or choosing not to pedal) on e-cycles making trips of their choice, solving their transport problems, interacting socially, and most importantly, getting some exercise.
Thanks to the generosity of the London Mayor’s Sport Unites fund, this project is free to those who attend the cycling sessions.
Metro Blind Sport has partnered with Bikeworks, to deliver Ride Side-by-Side to enable local blind and partially sighted residents in Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and the east of Ealing to make short trips, to keep appointments, visit the shops or make social visits on a Side-By-Side cycle, accompanied by a trained rider (pilot).
