Class of Covid-19: Reflect and Inspire – LookUK event

Date: 1st December 2020   Time: 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm

Getting through a whole term of university should always be celebrated, but this year more than ever. Reflect and Inspire with us!

This year has been like no other, and with so many changes to how we live, study and socialise, students have had a lot to deal with in this first term. Thomas Pocklington Trust’s Student Support Service and LOOK UK have teamed up to host Reflect and Inspire: Student Q&A and Motivational Talk with Lucy Edwards.

This is one not to be missed!

We are really excited to launch our next event, in collaboration with

LOOK – supporting families living with visual impairment

This event will involve a diverse panel answering your queries about the situations you have dealt with as a student during Covid-19, decisions to be made, and support to access while at University.

Then our star guest, motivational speaker, social media influencer and journalist Lucy Edwards will speak to the group about coping strategies and self-care tips, while spreading some up-beat positivity!

Please note: this event is exclusively open to VI students currently studying in higher education.

This event will be hosted on Zoom and meeting details will be provided after registration. If you have any issues or questions with registration please email

LOOK UK offer a tailored peer-mentoring service for visually impaired young people which connects VI students with a VI graduate to offer advice, support and guidance based on their own experiences. Our topical online and offline events for young people, parent/carers and professionals aim to empower our community with information and connection. Our events include peer-support groups, youth forums and informative webinars. From these events we create a catalogue of resources housed on our website such as podcasts, webinar recordings and accessible documents on a range of topics including assistive tech, remote learning and VI student Q&A’s.
