Blind Tennis International Tournament: Spain 2017

Tennis Foundation 2016

As you are aware the UK VI Tennis International Tournament has been postponed but we are pleased to announce that the Tennis Foundation will be sending a GB team to the Blind Tennis International Tournament: Spain 2017.

The GB team will consist of one male and one female in each category (B1, B2 and B3 categories are permitted at the tournament). A Selection Panel has been created and selected six players for the tournament (one in each category).

They have also selected 1-2 reserve players for each category. The Selection Policy for the International Tournament in Spain can be found on the Tennis Foundation website here –

Download: Selection Policy

We are in the process of contacting the players to see if they are available for the tournament and getting them reclassified via the new IBTA classification rules (i.e. using LogMAR).

IBTA will not be accepting individual entries for the tournament and all players need to be confirmed by the representative of each country.

For more information on the International Tournament please visit http://ibta-takei.com/blind-tennis-international-tournament-spain-2017. Please note the Tennis Foundation will be unable to answer individual enquires regarding the international tournament.
