The Mini Marathon – Powered by Local Heroes* for the raising funds for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice
Our Mini Marathon has become THE running event every child wants to be part of!
Taking place in Royal Greenwich Park, by the famous London Marathon bandstand, it is a 2.62 mile sponsored fun run for children aged between 5 and 16 years old.
2019 marks 25 years of caring for local people in their own home, the Hospice and in hospital. Our 25thanniversary is an incredible achievement and that’s thanks to you and the amazing people of Greenwich and Bexley who have given their support in a whole variety of different ways; you are our ‘Local Heroes’ and our Mini Marathon is powered by little Local Heroes who raised more than £80,000 following last year’s event – such an fantastic amount!
The Hospice has been providing care and support to local people for 25 years, and with your support, we always will.

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice
The Hospice is a local charity dedicated to providing free, high-quality, compassionate care and support for people with all terminal illnesses, their families, and their carers in the London Boroughs of Royal Greenwich and Bexley.
We care for over 2,500 people each year at home, in care homes, in our Hospice beds, in our Day Hospice and Hospice-based clinics, and in hospital.
We receive only about one third of our funding from the NHS, which means that we depend on the generosity of our community to fund much of the care we provide for local people.
