Charlie Raven, Sport Development Officer at Metro Blind Sport said

“As the charity continues to grow, we are incredibly excited to be extending our reach towards West London to deliver more sport and physical opportunities at this great new facility in Gunnersbury Park. We believe these weekly sessions can have a significantly positive contribution towards the social, physical and mental health of visually impaired people within the local community and across London.

Alex Bunney, Participation Lead at Goalball UK said

“We are delighted to be involved in this visual impairment specific multi-sport project alongside Metro Blind Sport and other key partners. The Hub at Gunnersbury Park in West London is a key location for us as we look to grow the number of accessible opportunities for people to play goalball in the capital”.

This past year has highlighted just how important it is to be active, and it is evident that disabled people have been hit hard by the pandemic. Metro Blind Sport want to deliver a programme in the new facility that is as welcoming as possible for blind and partially sighted people.
