Goalball London Cup Report

Goalball London Cup Report

Image: group shot of hands up

On Saturday 12th May Croysutt Warriors, London Elephants, Morpeth school and Winchester (invited) Goalball clubs competed in the inaugural London Cup. The tournament is designed to give London players more local competition outside of the Goalball UK National league.

On the day there were over 40 players across 3 levels of competition. A double round robin played out in the Junior and Intermediate sections . The Novice level gave Croysutt Warriors the chance to test their skills against a number of mixed teams.

Overall the day was a great success and as Goalball develops in London we hope the competition will grow across all the levels. We’re already looking forward to 2019.

Results

Junior: 1st Winchester, 2nd Morpeth, 3rd Croysutt Warriors

Novice: Croysutt Warriors beat the mixed team in all 4 games.

Intermediate: 1st Croysutt Warriors, 2nd Winchester, 3rd London Elephants

Many thanks to all the volunteers and parents that helped out on the day.
