  • Sign up to BTM membership if you are not already a member

  • Please enter the category you wish to play in (players can enter one category above their sight classification)
  • Please pay the entry fee as stated for each tournament.

2) If you are unable to complete the online entry please use these short links below of the entry form for the Sutton tournament in word format: http://bit.ly/1SnG07Q or in a editable PDF format: http://bit.ly/20jadJm

For other tournaments please contact the tournament organiser for each tournament & they will send you a paper entry form.

An internal prioritisation system will be in place for each tournament & players from within the region that the tournament is taking place will be accepted first.  This should allow all players to be able to participate in at least one regional tournament.

Classification

All players participating in a regional tournament will need to have a BBS classification.  After the entry deadline all entries will be checked by the tournament organiser with BBS.  Players are permitted to enter one category above their classification but they must play to the rules of that classification.  If you don’t currently have a sight classification through BBS you can find out more information by clicking here

Format and Rules

Please click here  for a document outlining the rules & format that will be in place for each tournament.  This document should answer all your questions but if it doesn’t please phone or email me & I will try to answer your questions as best as I can!

If you have any queries about the specific events please contact the relevant tournament organiser or if you have any other general queries please contact the Tennis Foundation.  At the end of the series I would really value constructive feedback from players, tournament organisers & referees so please keep a note of what you feel is good & what could maybe be improved for next year.

You can keep up-to-date with the latest news at www.tennisfoundation.org.uk and follow us on Twitter @TennisFndation

Good luck!
Kind regards

Tournament report: PSFL End of Season Chris East Memorial Cup

Football: London Metro FC

Date: 23 April 2016   Venue: @Futsal Swindon

London Metro Futsal Club took two teams to the end of season tournament in Swindon, renamed for the tournament after their former player, Chris East.

The ‘A’ team were looking to go one better than both the early season cup and the league, where they had two 2nd place finishes, and the ‘B’ team were hoping to recreate the form that took them to the semi-final of the early season tournament. The cup format was the same as before, with the 9 league teams playing each other in a round-robin group stage (8 games of 8 minutes each in all) and the top four teams going on to contest the semi-finals and final.

London Metro Teams Back row (L-R): Ryan Jones, Chris Berry, Neal Byrne, Matt Dean, Gareth Jones, Craig Groves, Mark Russell Front row (L-R): Everton Amos, Charles Ronayne, Malcolm Woolven, Jay Start

London Metro Teams Back row (L-R): Ryan Jones, Chris Berry, Neal Byrne, Matt Dean, Gareth Jones, Craig Groves, Mark Russell Front row (L-R): Everton Amos, Charles Ronayne, Malcolm Woolven, Jay Start

London Metro ‘A’ went a goal down early in their first game against Loughborough but this spurred them into life. They won that game 6-1 and cruised through the rest of the group stage winning every game and only conceding one other goal, in a 3-1 win against league champions Birmingham.

London Metro ‘B’ lost their opening game to North West Scorpions but claimed a shock win against Lisburn Rovers of Division 1. The team also claimed a point against Winsford Wolves but despite some good performances were unable to build on those results and lost their other 5 games and failed to qualify for the semi-finals.

London Metro ‘A’ topped the group to earn a semi-final against the 4th placed team, Loughborough. As in the group, Loughborough scored early but this time the ‘A’ team found it very difficult to break them down, whilst Loughborough still looked strong on the break. The goals did come, however, and the ‘A’ team got through to the final with a tight 2-1 win. The final was against North West Scorpions, a team beaten 1-0 in the group stage. North West also scored early but the ‘A’ team were unable to break them down and Scorpions doubled their lead late on to win 2-0 and secure their first every trophy.
Both teams played well with the ‘A’ team particularly very impressive in the group stage but were unable to win the trophy. The team now take a break until the start of the next season and the beginning of training, around August.

Results:

‘A’ team: 6-1 (v Loughborough), 3-0 (v SW Rovers),3-1 (v Birmingham),1-0 (v NW Scorpions), 2-0 (v Lisburn), 1-0 (v RNC), 6-0 (v London Metro ‘B’), 6-0 (v Winsford), 2-1 (v Loughborough (SF)), 0-1 (v NW Scorpions (F))
‘B’ team: 0-4 (v NW Scorpions), 1-0 (v Lisburn), 0-1 (v RNC), 0-3 (v SW Rovers),1-1 (v Winsford), 0-5 (v Loughborough), 0-6 (v London Metro ‘A’), 0-2 (v Birmingham)
‘A’ Team: Matt Dean; Craig Groves; Gareth Jones; Charles Ronayne; Mark Russell; Jay Start

‘B’ Team: Everton Amos; Chris Berry; Matt Boulding; Neal Byrne; Malcolm Woolven
