Metro Devils Win the T20 Development Cup 2015!

Cricket T20 Development Cup 2015

At tea in the Twenty20 Cup Final Metro Devils were 147/6, the Devils were hampered by some clever well placed fielding by Hampshire. The Captain David Samuels scored 44 runs with the help of Everton Amos and Aemonn Shearing . Aemonn scored 37 runs not out.

Hampshire were all out for 133 in the final over, Ryan West from Hampshire got 37 runs before getting caught by Aemonn Shearing, Alan Turnbull took the first wicket, Asif Farishta got 4 wickets, Nikhil Nair got 2 wickets as did Gary Moritz.

So the Metro Devils are T20 Development Cup 2015 Winners

At drinks after 10 overs The Metro Devils were 77/4 and after tea  at drinks Hampshire were 80/4, showing  just how close it was. It was an exciting match and both teams should be proud of the quality of the cricket!

We are offering another Sound Ball social tennis session at Highgate club (weather permitting!) All welcome, but please do let us know if you are coming.
If you are coming via Finsbury Park tube, someone will be at Station Place exit at 12.30pm to escort to the club.

Visually Impaired Technology Awareness Day – 9 Sept- Bexleyheath

Access Technology Day Central Library Bexleyheath

Are you visually impaired? Do you know how technology could help you?

Come to Central Library Bexleyheath on Wednesday 9th September at 10.30am to find out more.

A visually- impaired trainer will be giving a brief talk and demonstrating how accessible technology can help you find information, compete in the job market or just make your life easier day to day.

There will be a talk by Metro Blind Sport , a sports club created for blind and visually impaired people, describing the opportunities for taking part in sport and social activities.

South East London Vision, a new charity set up to promote the well-being and independence of blind and partially sighted people in South East London will also be present to talk about their work.

You can also find out about the assistive technology available on the library computers with hands-on sessions during the day.
